Yamaico Navarro promoted to Portland
Yamaico Navarro, the 21-year old slick fielding shortstop, has been assigned to Portland after hitting .319/.373/.543 in 94 at bats for Salem. Navarro has spent time on the disabled list this season, but when healthy he has been solid this season. He has a tendency to be over aggressive at the plate with a walk rate of just 5.88%. Still, Navarro has been productive with a .333 BABIP and .17 BaseRuns per Plate Appearance.
